Current Bar Examination Dates & Locations

 

The North Carolina bar examination is given twice a year, in February and in July, on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.

 

 

Dates of the February 2026 Bar Examination are as follows:

 

  • February 2026 – February 24 and 25
  • The passing score is 270 points.

 

Locations for the February 2026 Bar Examinations are as follows:

 

  • February 2026 – The North Carolina State Fairgrounds and the Jane S. McKimmon Center at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina.

  • July 2026 – July 28 and 29
  • The passing score is 270 points.
